House Cake Competition 2016

East Barnet School > Extra-Curricular > House Cake Competition 2016

The Inter-House Cake Competition was a huge success. The exceptional standard of so many cakes made the judges’ decisions really tough. The theme this year was ‘Autumn’, which allowed students to provide creative entries, including Halloween and Bonfire inspired cakes.

Staff and students were left amazed by the realism of Elysia Neocleous’s tree-design cake and licking their lips at the chocolate-orange flavour of Daisy-Jane Brinkworth-Jewell and Joe Bowman’s pumpkin cake. We may have to get Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood to reunite to judge the next one!

All cakes apart from a few ‘judges picks’ were sold at break and lunch time for charity and the event raised £346.50 for our House charities.

The Best Looking cake was by Elysia Neocleous 9D (Keller), Best Tasting was Daisy-Jane Brinkworth-Jewell & Joe Bowman 9G (Murray), Best Cupcakes were Olivia Champou 8D (Keller) and Most Creative was Isabella Constanti 9H (Tutu).
