This year, 17 students voted in the Stan Lee Excelsior Award for comics. Based on student reviews of the art, dialogue, characters and story, the winning book is Copperhead. Rocket Raccoon won for best artwork and Ant-Man for best dialogue. Student votes will count toward the final UK winner.
Students participated in weekly discussions with writer-in-residence Caroline Green while reading the eight shortlisted books. As Caroline found, reading comics is fun but requires brain power and concentration! All books are now available in the library.
