Chess, Book Swaps and Wonderland on World Book Day

East Barnet School > Teaching and Learning > English > Chess, Book Swaps and Wonderland on World Book Day

World Book Day was a curious day in the Library! In honour of Alice in Wonderland, the school Chess Club and Mr Parsons ran a Chess Clinic during lunch. Players of all ages learned chess on the 11 boards set up in the library, while other groups took up the invitation to play card games.

Meanwhile, the Student Librarians organised and ran a book swap with over a hundred books swapped between students. Remember to exchange your book token at a bookseller for a great free book!
