These pictures are of the inside workings of the clock that used to sit on the roof of the old EBS building. After the demolition, the clock was heroically rescued and is now sitting, pride of place, on the second floor of the new EBS. Unfortunately, the clock stopped ticking some time ago – step in Mr Boast, who has managed to get it working! Mr Parsons said: “It is amazing to hear that Mr Boast has got the old clock’s mechanism working! I think it is a wonderful connection between the original school and the EBS of 2021 and an impressive testament to Mr Boast’s engineering skills. It’s also remarkable that a clock made 80+ years ago still functions – ‘They don’t make them like they used to’”. Thank you Mr Boast, from the whole EBS community!
