On 2nd November, we revived our Awards Evening that had been put on hold for a couple of years due to Covid. We were really excited to get the ball rolling by asking staff who they would like to nominate for a wide range of awards. The recognition of students reflects our mottos: “I want to learn” and “Do the right thing”, with several rewards within each category.
With the guests on the way, we decorated the auditorium and transformed it into an ‘Oscars-style’ ceremony with a red carpet and everything! These prestigious awards are only given to a select number of students each year. There were 48 winners this year out of over 1400 students, so every single winner should be very proud of their achievements. The winners are below:
We were also lucky enough to a very special guest speaker, alumni, Joshua Chabala, gave an impassioned speech about how we can all make in impact on this world, no matter how small, change for the better is needed. You could hear a pin drop in the auditorium as winners and guests alike were rapt by Joshua’s words.
Congratulations to all of our winners – see you next year!
