As part of preparing our students for life beyond school, we were delighted this term to have invited the London Ambulance Service’s London Lifesavers in to school on Tuesday 5th November to train our very own Year 8 students. A team of eight experts from the NHS came to deliver high quality and intense defibrillator training. It was a hugely successful day and huge thanks to the Year 8 team for organising such a fantastic event (thank you Mr Frayne and Mrs DeMaria). The biggest positive of the day was the way in which our students engaged and worked so hard. Not only did they enjoy the day but are now ready to save lives! Some of the comments form our visitors were particularly heart warming:
My colleagues really enjoyed the day and would like to pass on their gratitude for all your assistance. I hope the students enjoyed the training, it looked like they were really engaged and asking lots of good questions.

We trained 201 students who now can help with using a defibrillator and the comments from our students were equally heart-warming:
Thanks for the day, it was really informative and interesting.
I’m so glad we did the training; my mum was really impressed!
