On Thursday 27th November, our A-Level Drama students had an incredible opportunity to take part in a full-day practical workshop with the acclaimed theatre company, The Paper Birds. As part of their Component 2: Devising Theatre unit, students are required to create original work inspired by the company’s unique methodology, and working directly with the practitioners offered invaluable insight and inspiration.

Throughout the day, students explored new techniques, experimented with performance styles, and developed creative ideas under the guidance of the professional team. The workshop was not only an exciting learning experience but also a chance for students to challenge themselves and deepen their understanding of devising theatre.

It was a fantastic day that will undoubtedly inform their upcoming projects and performances – well done to all the students for their energy, creativity, and enthusiasm!
