We were delighted to welcome Brodie Mae Le-Bonn, Senior Travel Consultant and Company Ambassador, who recently gave an inspiring career talk to our students. With nearly four years in the travel industry, Brodie shared her unique journey – from hospitality and events to becoming a seasoned travel expert.
Brodie highlighted how her early experience in five-star hotels and performing arts shaped her skills in customer service, attention to detail, and confident communication. She emphasised the importance of passion and lifelong learning, noting that travel agents must stay up to date with global geography, cultures, and current events to provide the best advice.
A key part of her talk involved demonstrating how travel consultants organise complex business trips, including managing flights, accommodation, budgets, and quick changes in plans – even at short notice. Brodie also underlined the value of first-hand travel experience, sharing how her company encourages agents to explore destinations to better serve clients.
Students gained valuable insights into the dynamic, fast-paced world of travel consultancy and the many skills required to succeed in this exciting career.
