National Handwriting Day

East Barnet School > Teaching and Learning > English > National Handwriting Day

Following the success of last year, we decided to run the National Handwriting Day competition again, or in other words, the EBS Golden Pen! This year, students in Year 7 – 11 were asked to write out a passage from Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, when Romeo sees Juliet on her balcony, and Year 12 – 13 wrote Macbeth’s Soliloquy from Macbeth. Three winners were chosen, in first, second and third place, and a certificate also awarded for best effort to Tyler Huseyin. This year, Ms Swaine chose the following winners:

Winner: Aranee Balakumar
Second Place: Leon Schwiebert
Third Place: Angeline-Zoe Ndiritu
