Remembrance Day

East Barnet School > Event > Remembrance Day

Our MP and local councillors, representatives from many organisations, as well as the Royal British Legion and hundreds of local residents gathered in East Barnet Village on Sunday to remember the fallen servicemen and women of two world wars and other conflicts since. Head students, Ethan Cicopalus and Ameen Nakhuda, and Deputy Head Students, Melissa Green and Sarah Evans represented the school and laid our wreath. This was the second time Ethan had represented his school in this way on a Remembrance Sunday. The first time was when he was in his final year at Church Hill School.

Also on this day, Jordan in Year 8, proudly marched with the Royal British Legion as their drummer, wearing his EBS uniform.

Back in school, on 11/11 at 11am, we remembered. Thank you to Year 11 student, Johannes, for playing The Last Post so beautifully from the balcony, heard across the whole school.
