On Thursday 4th December, our Year 10 GCSE Drama students enjoyed an exciting evening at The Phoenix Theatre to watch Stranger Things: The First Shadow. Based on the hugely popular Netflix series, the production was a spectacular example of technical theatre and powerful storytelling.
Students were captivated by the innovative staging, impressive special effects and strong performances, bringing the world of Stranger Things to life in a completely new way. The trip provided valuable inspiration for their GCSE studies, particularly in understanding how lighting, sound and set design can be used to create atmosphere and tension on stage.
The group represented the school brilliantly throughout the evening and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. It was a memorable and enriching trip that complemented their classroom learning and deepened their appreciation of live theatre.
