The Ducklings Hatched!

East Barnet School > Teaching and Learning > Science > The Ducklings Hatched!

We were delighted to once again take part in a hatching program, this year for duckings. The students waited with anticipation for them to hatch and we successfully had three duckings; Delilah, Desmond and Daisy! Students from the pathway and the Hub spent lots of time, looking after them, feeding them, cleaning their cage and eventually teaching them to swim in the paddling pool! In addition, the hatching process provided an excellent opportunity for students to look at lifestyles in their science lessons. We have had an update from the company to let us know the ducklings are growing well and continue to thrive!
