The annual Certificate Evening at EBS once again proved to be a truly special occasion, bringing together staff, former students, and families in a spirit of celebration and reflection. The event provided a wonderful opportunity for teachers and alumni to reconnect, share stories, and celebrate the achievements of the most recent cohort as they received their certificates.
Attendance was exceptionally high, with a large number of students returning to mark this milestone. The atmosphere was filled with pride and joy as conversations flowed about their current journeys – whether at university, in apprenticeships, or embarking on exciting career paths. It was inspiring to hear how well they are doing, and yet equally moving to see how fondly they continue to remember their time at EBS.
What stood out most during the evening was the consistent message from students: while they are thriving in their new environments, they attribute much of their success to the foundation laid at EBS. The kindness, encouragement, and high standards they experienced here have clearly shaped their aspirations and given them the confidence to pursue ambitious goals.
One particularly touching moment came when a student shared that only after leaving did he truly realise the profound impact EBS had on his career direction. He expressed heartfelt gratitude, saying he wanted to return to thank everyone who had supported him along the way. His words captured the essence of what the evening is all about – recognising not just academic achievement, but the lasting influence of a nurturing school community.
As certificates were handed out and conversations continued late into the evening, it was clear that EBS remains a place that students carry with them long after they leave. We look forward to hearing more about the future successes of our alumni and celebrating the many ways they continue to make us proud.
