The Year 10 GCSE Geography students enjoyed two successful field trips in June, investigating rivers in Epping Forest and urban regeneration in Stratford. Throughout the visits, students demonstrated a wide range of fieldwork skills, including collecting, recording and presenting data using a variety of geographical techniques. Highlights included getting into the river to carry out hands-on investigations, bringing our classroom learning to life!
Students impressed staff with their excellent classroom discussions and phenomenal knowledge from the Rivers unit, applying geographical concepts confidently in real-world settings. Having completed all of their data collection, they are now ready to analyse and evaluate their findings back at school. These experiences provide valuable preparation for the fieldwork element of GCSE Geography Paper 3. Well done, Year 10!
