Mathematics is an interconnected subject in which pupils need to be able to move fluently between representations of mathematical ideas. It is essential to everyday life; from financial literacy to technology and science. 

At East Barnet School, our vision is to provide a Mathematics curriculum that will enable every child to achieve more than they think they are capable of achieving. Our aim is to deliver a high-quality Mathematics education to all of our students, to widen pupils’ logical thinking and encourage problem solving skills. We want all our students to leave with a sense of accomplishment in numerical fluency, reasoning skills and make rich mathematical connections. 

We aspire to provide all students with a rewarding and enjoyable experience of mathematics. We will prepare students to become confident, numerate individuals who are able to deal with all aspects of mathematics in their chosen career and in all aspects of their adult life.
