Course Overview

The Level 1/2 BTEC Travel and Tourism course provides an engaging and practical introduction to one of the world’s fastest‑growing industries. Through a combination of real‑world case studies, classroom learning and vocational tasks, you will develop a strong understanding of how the travel and tourism sector operates and the wide range of organisations that contribute to it.

During the course, you will explore key destinations in the UK and abroad, investigate how different types of travel meet customers’ needs, and learn how tourism supports economies and communities across the globe. You will also develop valuable skills such as communication, problem‑solving and customer service – skills that are essential for success in any career involving people, planning or public-facing roles.

This qualification is ideal for students who enjoy learning through practical scenarios and would like to discover the exciting opportunities available in airlines, visitor attractions, holiday companies, hospitality, events and tourism management.
